Car: 1997 328i Sedan (non folding rear seats)
Questions:
1. I had a local audio shop build an enclosure that sits over the battery, but it has a nasty habit of tearing apart their flimsy mounting hardware. What method do you reccomend for mounting in this location? And where is a good place to buy hardware? My local Home Depot was no help..
(A picture is worth 1,000 words)
2. The enclosure is also too large (1.2 cubic feet vs Alpines reccomended .78 "net" cubic feet for a 12" type R). How should I go about reducing the air space? Epoxying MDF sheets to the bottom?
3. Amp locations. Right now I have the 2 amps (mrp-f450 and mrp-m850) mounted behind the rear seats. This works pretty well, but I'm not liking the look. Any ideas for how/where else to mount these?
(again..pics would help tremendously)
4. My car had 5.25" stock component nokias in the rear deck...is this uncommen? It seems like everybody else has 4".
Any input is appreciated. I'll likely post more questions as I think of them.
