Been lurking about for awhile, and I've just found what might be my new car. Wanted to see what you guys think:

2003 Convertible M3
Manual Transmission
63K Miles
Asking 27k

From what I've read, 27k is a bit steep, I think that 22k would be more reasonable. Thoughts?

I was also wondering if you guys had any thoughts on where to take it for a pre-purchase inspection. Not a specific place obviously, but would you recommend taking it to a dealer, or a local shop?

Any advice is appreciated, thanks for the read.

$27k isn't BAD. I don't think you'll get it for $22k. $24k might be more reasonable.

I'd take it either to the dealer or to a BMW specialist indy shop for the PPI.

Thanks for the advice! I'm currently checking with a couple of local shops to see what's out there.

In March I paid $29K for my 2003 vert but it is a Dinan S2 and had only 32K miles.

$22k is low balling it. $27 isn't terrible, but 24-25 would be a good deal.
