What year 3 series? I think the E46 from 2001+ needs an ECU flash. For kits, check Bavtoys as they are the lighting forum sponsor. Habbie cuts awesome deals on HID kits. E36 bulbs are PNP whereas the E46 uses a H7 that needs an adapter or you need to modify the bulb holder.

Then you'll need a flash or Habbie may have something that works around it. He may not get back to you asap as he's helping out a family with a child who has leukemia.

please get projectors like P46s. I HATE people who stick HIDs in halogen housings.

whats wrong with HID's in stock headlights?

They will blind all other cars on the road with the amount of glare that they produce. :nono

Projectors focus the light output, into a direct and sharp patern. Without projectors, the HID output is spread out everywhere and causes a "hazy" bright/blinding glare to oncomming drivers. Pluss, with projectors, the forward light cutoff is crisp.
