ok, i bought a used VPD oil cap last winter, and went to install it, but wasn't sure how it went together. Looked online, and there is a metal piece that sits on tope of the filter to seal it onto the cap once the cap is placed over the filter. I did not receive this piece with my kit. :mad
To make matters worse, i am trying to find any records of who i bought the kit off of, but it was a direct IM sale, no thread was made regarding it, and it appears i purged my IM's several months ago.
So i don't have any way to get a hold of the seller to see if he still has it lying around somewhere (edit: just found the email in my paypal registry, I've sent him an email, heres to hoping he has the piece. However, in case he doesn't, I would still like any help possible). Bottom line, knowing that VPD is NLA, how can I get a hold of one of those pieces? It is the turned aluminum disk that sits between the cap and filter. If anyone can help me out, you'll be a lifesaver as I imagine the kit isn't working well till I get that in there.
