here's the situation: I just got a text message which I consider somewhat offensive, exacerbated by the fact that I have to pay for it. I don't have a text plan on my phone because I find texting to be a PITA and more trouble than it's worth, which means I pay for each and every incoming or outgoing message. I want to report this moron to his/her cell company. Does anyone know which cellular company has the 226 prefix?
thanks

AT&T I think, but nowadays you can transport numbers over to other carriers so hard to tell

I know numbers are transportable, but I figure that's still my best shot to get started on this.
thanks for your help!

I was actually looking for the local prefix, eg 808-226-xxxx . No matter, I called AT&T and confirmed that it is still an AT&T wireless number.
thanks!
