What's up guys! There is a huge car meet every friday at 10:30PM until whenever at the top of the UNCC parking deck! I didn't know this until now, but I plan to attend regularly right after work. With the much anticipated Fast & Furious 4 coming out next summer (with Vin Diesel coming back), this is a great way to crank it up! The guys that started it and hosting it are mostly honda/acura guys, but the turn out of different cars is unreal! Us BIMMERS need to represent! There are rules...No burn outs, No racing, No alcohol, and NOOOOOO FIGHTING!!! The campus and the campus police are cool as long as we follow the rules. I plan on attending next friday June 20, 2008. If anyone is interested, let's meet up and roll there. They have like 75 or more cars there last week! Unreal!

Glad to see some responses! My brother-in-law and I plan to roll up there this friday the 20th. We are gonna try and get more people to come out. If you guys want to all meet somewhere near and roll up together that would be cool. This is my first time to this thing too and it seems to get bigger everyweek! This may turn out to be TOO big for just the deck! Anyhow, if you guys are interested, we can meet between 10:15pm-10:30pm to roll there. There is a BEST BUY off the I-85 in Univesity! We can all meet there and UNCC is just a stone throw away!

sup guys!

i started this thread and sorry for the delayed reply on it! i went the week before last friday for the first time and it was HOT! i actually waited at the Best Buy in the dark for 30mins, but no others showed up. so here is my story...i started to head out around 10:35pm. as i was waiting at the red light i was thinking to myself, "man, this is probably all hype and i don't see anything on the streets!" then i started to hear the distant...rrrrrrmmmmmmm...rrrrmmmmmm....rrmmrrmrmm m...i saw hid lights, racing wheels, body kits, clear lens, exhaust, and girls...yes, girls in bikes and cars! as they passed, i couldn't wait for the light to turn green. i followed them in. we were about 20 cars deep, so you can imagine the feeling we all had! again it was dark within UNCC campus. i was thinking again, "these people may have came for nothing." we circled the campus until we approached a 3 level deck with many blue lights decorating it. we went up the first level...nothing, the second level a few cars, the third level was mahem. there were bikes, cars, girls, guys, and much more. i was actually early, after i parked the cars flowed in. i saw a ton of nissan 240s with skyline engines (many converted to right hand drive), acura integras, hondas, rx-7s (one had a mustang 5.0 swap), one mercedes c36 amg, an e46 m3, 2 e36 m3s, muscle cars, about 20 bikes, one supra tt, there was even a group of guys that were rich (they rolled up in a lotus, a corvette z06, and a lambo), and there were also many other cars. there had to have been about 100 cars total, and i left early. anyhow, it seems to get bigger every week! the people are nice and the campus police patrol often, but don't hassel you. if you have ever been to a car show/drag night, it is kind of like that except, you don't pay admission and there is no running from the cops! it is gonna go on for-ever until whenever, so you guys should show up. it is worth driving out of town for and bimmer need to represent!!! there were very little bimmers! even the guys in the mercedes c36 was just chillin by himself!

I won't be able to make it this weekend (family reunion), but maybe the next weekend. I probably know a lot of those guys as I use to be in the "know" about all the meet spots for the imports. A friend of mine use to own CP Racing on south blvd. We use to be up there every time they open the gates at night. I'm mad that they have closed down. But then again I don't drive the type of cars that use to be up there. I had a swapped civic si coupe (rare find) and a swapped Canadian hatch.

Hey guys! My names Daniel and i'm the founder and organizer of the Friday night UNCC meets. I want to thank everyone who's helped to make this a great new place for everyone to relax and not worry about it being broken-up by the police, worry about fights, getting their car stolen, ect. So far everyone's been great about following the rules, except a few bad apples who have been banned from coming back to keep everyone's time worry free up there, and keep every safe most importantly. We have the very strict rules in place not because I and the people who help me run this enjoy enforcing them, it's so everyone has a permanent place to come to. Some people just don't understand that this is a MAJOR privilege, not a right, and ONE person can ruin this for EVERYONE. I think everyone who enjoys these meets would be quite upset if someone decided to be an idiot and show off their mad burn-out skills and ruin the meets forever. I will not hesitate to ban people for spinning tires, driving fast, ect I know it's cool, but there is a time and place for it, and this meet is not it. Our policy is IDLE IN, IDLE OUT OF THE DECK. No alcohol, or drugs, or fighting on campus. Please don't litter up top, there is 6 trash-cans up top where we meet. I have campus police's full co-operation in these meets, and if someone doesn't want to leave that has been asked to, they will be escorted out promptly by the police. I hate to be a police man I don't enjoy doing it, but if you guys think of EVERY meeting spot that has ever been, they have ALL been broken up because people wanted to drive like idiots, so these rules are in place to keep the meets going.

Thankfully 98% of people who come up there are great, and follow the rules, not because they are forced the follow the rules, because they realize that this is a great thing going for EVERYONE and EVERYONE wants to see this keep going.

Thanks for all those who have helped to make this great for everyone, and I look forward to meeting everyone! If anyone has ANY questions please, please don't hesitate to send me a PM. Or if anyone has any questions at the meet I drive the black 4 door audi S4 with the OZ wheels on it. I'd love to see a strong euro representation up there, we have had more every week, but i'd like to see a large number of them.

This is the "official" thread for these meets: http://www.importsnc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39672

I really want to come and check it out, but 3 weeks ago I didn't have a car. (Previous 328 rear-ended by taxi), 2 weeks ago I was in Denver at a convention, and last week I was driving all over the mountains, breaking in my new 335i coupe. And this week I'm at my girl friends. (Sorry, but she has priority <grin>).

Has any Beemers gone? What kind of turnout is there for Beemrs.
