Does anyone know how to set up the hands free device in the BMW? I have tried several times today and still cant figure it out.. I have a Razor phone and its supposed to be compatible with the BMW hands free device.

If it works like the BT kit I put in the X then you first have to pair the phone to the car. I found a manual online that might help.

Here try this... http://www.bmwmotorsports.org/pdf/ULFOwnerManual.pdf

If you get stuck I can help out tomorrow at C&C if you are going.

We have a Razr as well. Works just fine with the kit which is an OEM device. Have you used other bluetooth devices with it?? Let me know if you need help. Shouldn't take but a few minutes.

Not sure about BMW, but I assume it's similar to the one on the Mini.
Took about 1 min for me to set mine up with my Razr2 phone on the Mini.
Like someone said earlier, you gotta put the car on search mode and the phone on look for signal and then u can pair it. The phone will ask you to put in a 4 digit PIN and then you gotta confirm that PIN on the car before it pairs.

Rich looked at the car last night and said he doesnt think I have all the components. I thought I did. but guess not. You open the trunk and it says its wired for the phone.
So I wont be driving hands free when I talk on the phone that blows..

i dunno how it is in the bmw, but in the tsx i had, it took a little while to scroll through the contact list and make a phone call...also it would cut the radio to receive a call, but the connection from the car to my phone would cut out intermittently, and the only way to pair ir up again would be to reset the phone...i never really had any problems with other bluetooth devices...

and conversation would drop when i'd have to get out of the car...

might be different in the bmw, but i dont think youre losing out on too much...

I was thinking of getting the redneck hands free device and use it while driving the BMW.
