broken off tip, deep in the ignition, past 1st tumbler.
I have a pro here, but he can't find a retainer pin to remove the whole ignition.
anyone replace one yet or have any idea? :confused
Guess I'll call AAA again, otherwise.
blimey.
there's not a retainer clip...there is a small hole that you insert a paperclip in and the ignition pops out....then you can push the key bit out from the back side

Thanks a bunch for the tip!
q: does the ignition have to be turned into a certain position?
-- not sure which we're in anymore.

He was pretty frustrated from the beginning. Even though we fed him cookies, carrots and cold juice. ;D
waiting until tomorrow for AAA to send another shop.

Grind down a hacksaw blade to a point and use the teeth to pull the broken piece out.

A locksmith-punk with young, keen eyes fished it out.
Thanks for the help here, all. You too, Curt.
