I bought this a couple of months ago to use in my nav retrofit project. I completed the retrofit and used this unit for a month until I upgraded to MKIV. It comes with a copy of CD1 (CA and NV) that the original seller claimed to be his backup copy of the original that got scratched. The disk is a 2007.1 version I believe. The unit has the latest OS upgrade.

I don't think iPod compatibility is related to the nav unit since all the ipod integration units that I have seen so far connect either directly (in the back) or indirectly (via changer connection) to the head unit. I will upload pics in a few hours :)
