I heard off one of my mechanic mates that a conversion of m3 heads onto my 328i is a relatively inexpensive modification, that adds ALOT to the car. Can anyone varify this or give me any feeback?
thanks all

The heads are the same. The only significant difference are the cams, the M3 (S52) cams are more aggressive. I see you'r new here so welcome. There is a plethora of info on these boards so be patient and do your research. The search feature is your friend. Happy modding...

I know the North American stuff is interchangeable. But since the OP is from Australia, are the heads from the s50b30 and s50b32 also interchangeable with the m50/m52? I read somewhere that the water jackets might not line up (searching for the thread). Also what about the dual vanos on the s50b32? Wouldn't you have to disable it/leave it unplugged? I'd curious to find out.

You know what you are correct sir, I didn't realise we were talking about the Euro S52. I don't believe it would be a direct swap, dual vanos and ITB's would just complicate things, sorry bout that. US S52 cams would bolt into the M52 head with great results though....

I sent a set of S50 cams and a TMS chip to New Zealand (or maybe it was Australia...) for $800 shipped. The shipping was $300. Euro S50 motors won't swap... your best bet is to source some M3 cams.
