I have cold air intake, exhaust, and 3.91 diff in my 325is 5 sp. The 330ci and I were on the highway appreciating each others car. His was lowered, but seemed stock. we gave each other the thumbs up and we both floored it at 80mph. I inched away from him in fourth, then fifth. ended up a few car lengths ahead of him by 120mph when my rev limiter kicked in. Maybe he had a auto, but I thought he was gonna smoke me.

i've beaten a 330ci manual with my 328 w/2.93 diff, you got a kickass 3.91, diam that's where your big advantage lies.

I just thought my shorter gears would hurt me in the top end.

My 3:91 was fun. Granted highway cruising was tedious sometimes, the power was instantanious. In fact the power came in way faster than my presently supercharged m3.

I used to pull on m3 with the modified 325 is, simply because the car would leap forward the moment I touched the gas.

I had to sell the car the day an m3 walked past me over 130mph...:(
It did dominate in autocrosses:p Without slicks we were able to beat a 911 turbo... hhahahah
Slicks would have made that car mad!

Enjoy

Here is my old girl.. I miss her..

well technically in helps your top end b/c it increases acceleration over the entire power band, but your top speed is reduced, thats the only side effect, so basically you will accel alot faster but you will hit top speed alot sooner.
