My apologies for being rude, but im in the process of rebuilding the engine in my 2001 BMW 740IL. It has the 4.4 V8 VVT. The block recently overheated and I took the engine apart and needs a block replacement. I just rebuilt the heads and intend on using the VVT heads. I just purchased a used engine from another 740 IL but it has NO VVT. Could I swap this non VVT block and use the rebuilt VVT heads? Reason I ask is because I see valve relief cuts on the pistons in the original VVT block, but on the non VVT block its just a solid piston. Any thoughts, suggestions would be appreciated. thanks
Original VVT engine code is M62TU 1998-2001 BMW
used Non VVT engine code is M62 1996-1998 BMW
