After a job change the new company does not offer a company car, only a milage per diem, making me get rid of the company car so I was in need of a replacement. After a frantic search this gem was found in Mesa AZ, only 68k on the clock, wide navi and still sporting Pilot Sports. Love the Orient Blau, and the dove looks flawless, I would prefer black leather but It will do.

I pick it up Saturday.

Those Alpina Softlines look sick, anyone run a set of springs to bring the car down to earth just a little bit? With the stiffer shocks I wonder if they can handle a progressive spring..

Very nice car, looks super clean as well. In a perfect world, and maybe that will occur within the next year, I would love to add a 2000 Imola red 740IS to my driveway. There is just something about the shadowline trim on the Imola that just grabs my attention.

thanks, I pondered the Imola 740iS but decided against it, mileage was a bit too high and I a big fan of blue obviously.

this has 118xxx miles for 14k, regular navi

mine has 68k miles, 50k less one owner miles than the Imola and it does have the extended navi....wasnt worth it IMO.

That would be the one, beautiful car. I have never been a huge fan of red cars, but something about the Imola 740 that grabs me. I had a chance to sell my black 323 IC and purchase an Imola Red 328 IC, but it just didn't do as much for me on the 3 series as it does on the 740 IS.

tell me more about he self leveling systems. Does the sport come equiped with SLS? Mu M5 has SLS, does the SLS on the e38 have the same clamp on the swaybar that raises and lowers the rear?

TIA

I disagree. The black lower panels make the car look sleeker. I realize most of us think the 2001 model year was the best, but on certain colors the black panels actually add to the looks by blending in with the ground/shadow/road etc.

For instance, a white 2001 iL looks like a big aspirin compared to, say, my white 1999 iL, because the white panels add visual mass to the car's front and side view. My 750 isn't easily hidden, that's for sure, but the body-color lower panels don't always work out.

Disagree, the black give a nice contrast. Painted lowers are overrated.

I agree completely. That's the exact reason I won't be painting my lowers. I like the contrast that the black gives. Also because painted lowers are one of those must-do mods around here, like clears and a drop, and I want my 7 to be unique, that's been the goal since the beginning.

The sports do NOT have self leveling. So no stuffing three people in the back seat!

I've never seen turbine centers on 9" rears before. LOOKS SOOO HOT! I have a set of polished, staggered t-stars sitting here now, with no car to put them on. I got them right before I sold my E34 and got the E38. Now, I'm thinking I need to get an E30 M3 soon...

I have been kicking around the painted lowers on the car. After much thought, they are staying black.

cool, thanks. Got the car home and it is just as beautiful as the pictures show. Ran flawlessly, I did however find out that the car has no LSD??? I thought the sport might be equipped but my tire marks say different.

The navi is a little different, Im used to the Garmin and inputing address', is there a way to do this? I still need to read the tons of booklets and cd's.
