It looks like you have to pay to get them... $29 for 30 days of use?
Anyone able to carfax for me? Or is that not allowed?
My camaro that was stolen from me 2-3 years ago says it has 11 records. Im curious! Plus I want to know about these 740iL I might buy tomorrow...

Depends on what you want to believe. My 91 e30 suffered major damage the first time my wife drove it....Carfax is clean. My wife's 01 Sequoia suffered major damage when my son drove it....Carfax is clean.
Needless to say, I place little faith in Carfax.

This is only good (I believe) until the end of today 6/10/08...just click the link below...THEN...replace the last 17 characters in the URL box at the website it sends you to with the 17 digit VIN of the car you're inquiring about...then refresh or hit enter...and the info will change over to the VIN you typed: www.dakotaadjusters.com/cgi-bin/admin/autocheck.pl?d=WBADR63491GN91766
PS: Dan if you want people to help you...you should really consider making yourself available to be contacted (thru either PM or email). For instance, if you miss this post tonight...you may also have missed a chance to use the link I provided. I was going to PM (private message you with a direct link back to this thread which would have alerted you to the short window of opportunity...but you haven't enabled this feature. I hope you get a chance to use the service before it's too late. Good luck. :D

I think the Carfax report is beneficial if you can truly find and prove odometer rollback or fraud. Outside of that, I do not put much faith in them either. I purchased a 2007 Volvo S 80 for my wife a year ago, it was 6 months old and had a little over 3000 miles on the clock. The Carfax report was clean. Within a few months I was traveling and starting hearing a thumping noise under the car. I pulled over, looked underneath and found the heat shield had come loose and was hitting the ground. I had it towed to the local dealership and soon found that there had been a significant amount of work done to the car and that it had obviously been involved in some type of collision, or at the very least run over something large that did a lot of damage. Warranty would not pay, Carfax dance and sang and basically admitted that their report had no teeth unless it was odometer fraud. I guess it is something to help you sleep at night prior to a purchase, but I will never buy any car again without a complete and thorough check by an independent mechanic. Best of luck with the purchase of the 740, great cars.
