Hey guys! It's my first post here, and sadly I have to sell my little beamer. I'll still be around though, especially if it doesn't end up getting sold.
I bought it a little while ago because I've always loved the car, but my issue was I spent all of my money on buying it, and the previous owner was a total ass and lied to me about some simple things on the engine that ended up screwing me over. Long story short, it's in perfect running condition now, but I owe a bit of money to my parents.
There have been a number of tasteful modifications to make it even more unique. (As if being a rare car wasn't enough...)
-5 speed transmission swap (75 MPH at 3500 RPM's. Much better than the stock 4 speed)
-Bilstien shocks
-Brand new high performance ignition system by Bavarian Autosport
-Brand new Hella headlamps
-upgraded exhaust
-Magnesium rims with wide grippy tires
-very comfortable racing seats
Overall the car is great, very minimal rust, body's in good shape, interior looks new, dash, carpet, rear seats, and headliner have no rips or scuffs.
The minor things it does need are to re-ground the electrical for the turn signals and horn, and needs a new speedometer cable. Could also use some new motor mounts and suspension bushings relatively soon. And the previous owner had a strut bar installed, but tried taking it out by just cutting out little square holes in the wheel well instead. Not rusted out, just cut, so it's still solid, just needs patching.
I know seeing the bad things is usually a turn-off to buyers, but trust me when I tell you, this car is sweet! If you have any know how for basic mechanics, and are a BMW enthusiast, I can tell you you won't be disappointed!
EDIT: I can't seem to show pictures.... or link to pictures. so if you're interested maybe I'm able to PM you or something.
