It is time for my mom to get a new ride, and she has shown interest in the Mini's. (I had to talk her out of a PTCruiser..)

She won't need an S, and it will have to be an auto.. Is there any thing I should look for as far as common failure items? Does BMW offer CPO's on the Mini?

Thanks!

if you are getting an auto, DO NOT BUY AN 02-06 COOPER.

They have a CVT, and it WILL die.

The cooper S has a decent auto, however.

Then 07s and newer have pretty good automatics, too.

I think that they do CPO on MINIs, but to be honest, they are so expensive you are better off just ordering exactly what you want. plus, the 07 and newer cars get even better mileage.

That is good to know. Thanks for the review.

Glad you talked her out of the PT for a Mini. Careful though, Mini and auto makes cooper S manadatory
