I think I can be satisfied with 9th overall in a D class car :smiliecap
Plus watching Jay drift the 325 was amazing

Jean-Claude 05-31-2008, 09:20 PM I had a 1:02.5xx.
O_o Am I missing something? Did I hit a cone?
M3Bill 05-31-2008, 09:30 PM I had a 1:02.5xx.
O_o Am I missing something? Did I hit a cone?
I bet the answer is yes.
Jean-Claude 05-31-2008, 09:32 PM I bet the answer is yes.
It's not impossible that I hit one. But I only recall one run where I hit the edge of one and it wasn't that one.
Like I said, not impossible but you know what it feels like when you hit one. :shifty

Jean-Claude 05-31-2008, 10:40 PM Either way. It was a lot of fun.
Wow! You Georgia guys work fast! Great job!
Great to meet some of you too. I'm thinking I need a little bit stiffer than H&R Sport springs.:stickoutt
tabasco 05-31-2008, 11:01 PM yeah...today rocked!!!!
Thanks everybody for a great event!!!
328iJunkie 06-01-2008, 12:03 AM Damn. must have hit a cone my 106 run...
Enjoyed it as usual.
PrinceE30 06-01-2008, 12:18 AM Now that I have time for proper posting...
1. Thanks to Geordie Tire and Butler Johnston for sponsoring the event. Great to have a sponsor like you guys.
2. BMW CCA Peachtree put on a great event. Thanks to the club.
3. Jason, cheetah rocked. Best mix tape.
4. Thanks to Geordie and Bill for some awesome F competition. Super close guys!
5. Thanks for Falken tires to creating rubber that could take the abuse on my 4th and 5th run and then come back with a fastest 6th run
6. Thanks to Meredith and Jay for some awesome tips and pointers
This event was even better than the first!
328iJunkie 06-01-2008, 02:15 AM any pics by chance?
YES! 69th! :redspot
Really though thanks to everyone who put this event together. My first autox taught me a lot. Surprisingly, I have never had an opportunity to drive my car like this before (I only received one speeding ticket in my entire life. :) ). AutoX is definitely a good way to blow off some steam and drive my car closer to the way it's supposed to be driven. I can't wait for the next event!
M3Bill 06-01-2008, 09:24 AM any pics by chance?
There will be some soon. Several folks were shooting.
YES! 69th! :redspot
Also known as last.
But it looked like you were having a ton of fun, and that's all that matters! Have fun and learn.

Thats right. I was dead last for at least my 1st event. Just hang in there and have fun, the times will come with seattime.
Shawn D 06-01-2008, 09:52 AM any pics by chance?
Oh, so many possible answers:
No. I just like to hang out in various locations around the track and pretend to take pics, and when I hand the camera off to someone else while I'm running, I secretly disable the camera so they think they're taking pics when they actually aren't.
No. My camera outfit is really a flask. The longer the focal length, the drunker I get.
Yes, but every time someone asks that, I delete a pic of them. If they didn't run, I delete a pic of whoever they wanted to see.
Yes, but only for my private collection.
OK, OK, yes, I have 500+ photos of the event. I will post a selection once I go through and cull/edit them.
Patience, please! Kthxbai!
Boozie D. Clown 06-01-2008, 10:06 AM I sucked hind teet, but had a blast. My temp sensor was reading 102 while we were there...can't wait for the next one...:shifty:b_hot:firedevil:shine:b_hotgree
The new staging really helped keep things moving well. Big thanks to everyone at the chapter that put it together and a huge thanks to Butler Tire for sponsoring the event!!
98ATLe36 06-01-2008, 10:29 AM Crap if i had'nt had hit those cones on the finish on my second to last run, my 1:01.8 would have put me in 5th or 6t. And that was a totally clean run where i might have even lost more time by ending clean!
Either way that was a fun day, and it was good to meet more of you! Next time ill for sure be in the running with Bill, Geordie, Eric, Randall, Mike and all you guys, ITS ON!
yesss, finally, not the slowest time of the day this month! and no one wants an std...
thanks to butler tire and all the event staff for an awesome day!

98ATLe36 06-01-2008, 10:37 AM Hey Mike are the rest of the results going to get posted? it stops at F
I think i have the second fastest 1st lap of the day behind Bill, he did a 1:02.5 in his race car, and i did a 1:02.6 in my car.

Jean-Claude 06-01-2008, 11:30 AM What would really be great is if someone had a extendable tower for a video camera.
With Adobe Premier you could watch a ghost of someone else's race race you. See where you are faster or slower than your competition. It would be probably the best tool for seeing where you(I) need improvements.
I may do that next time out.

That sounds AWESOME, i took Jay with me on my fastest run and he was a big help, and Mike, letting me know where they thought i could pick up some time.
^ Did your splitters survive? Sounded like they were taking a beating. Nice car though:buttrock
Thanks! Yup they survived, ones a little loose, but that happens once a week anyways. Atlanta isnt very friendly to cars with 3 inches of ground clearance!
The MSR bit not displaying all the results should be fixed.
Yeah it is, THANKS!
I geuss i was wrong, could'nt see all the results earlier, i geuss i had the 5th fastest first lap...

peete 06-01-2008, 04:51 PM It was good to meet a few of the board regulars yesterday. Putting faces to aliases is always interesting.
My hat is off to the autoX committee(mafia), they did an outstanding job. Much less flailing of arms and much better flow than last time. You guys earned every cent you make:D
I guess the finished by 2pm days are history until a bigger lot is found. But it's worth a long day for 6 runs and countless ride alongs.
Can't wait for the next one.

If you don't find a helmet, the club rents them at the venue, $10 a day.
Sign up with MSR.com and make sure the club has your most current email or you WILL miss the boat.

it looks like E and F are the places to compete. it's going to be tough in F with Geordie and I (and Bill, depending how often he shows up for the events). Good luck though, and hope to see you at the next event!
tabasco 06-02-2008, 11:13 AM I noticed that those classes have really grown in size.
