View Full Version : One point I would like to make about fairness...

To the people who complained about unfairness at the last autocross because certain cars were parked due to noise and others were not, I think it is important to note that I was the only car parked for noise today, and I am the VP of the Chapter. If that does not demonstrate fairness, I don't know what does.

Oh yeah, and I want to give a big thanks to Geordie and Anna for letting me use the Bean after my car got parked.

:waveSince you were the ONLY one, that could be construed as favoritism.

I agree, that sound fair to me!!

Good seeing you again, Bill, and all the others I got to hang out today (especially to everybody who hung around long enough to go to dinner :P) Even though I ran quite poorly today, I still had a blast, as always.

And, of course - Thats to Geordie & Butler Tire for making it possible!!!

Favoritism that he was told to stop running his car?? That doesn't even make sense.

too many noise units lowers the skill level of the car.. so in order to get bill into a car that can make him look good, they put him in something quieter?

Really? So you're telling me Bill's stock M3 is louder than the various race-prepped E30's and E36's that I'm sure were present?

Not at all. I would have much rather ran my car. It is much faster than The Bean.

Almost every venue (including "real" race tracks) has some sort of time/day/dB restriction. Jim R. Miller park isn't a track, so to stay in the good graces of the park staff and neighbors, we limit the noise level.

Note that even if we stay within a published noise limit and county engineers and police confirm that we're within that limit, a busybody citizen can still complain enough for the county to kick us out of a venue. This is what happened with the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds site. If you care to know more about that story, I'm sure the details are in the archives.

Straight pipes here :)

But I'm more need for speed underground than all of you are.

There are no noise restrictions when I tokyo drift around the pole at walmart. Then do some mad touge on the way home.

Hit me up if you want to battle. I hear they have jdm drift sessions at the varsity every 1st thursday of the month.

There is a guy down the street from me with a Jeep Cherokee and whatever he has in it for a stereo is rediculous. I have heard loud stereo's but his seriously rocks the n'hood. Harley's blasting down the street and every dumbshit around with a Mustang peeling out non-stop. Now that I think about it, maybe someone could find a place here in Acworth. It doesn't seem like anyone cares around here. I hear boats on the lake at 2am that sound like race boats. Is Dixie speedway still open?

Yeah, my first run. But I would have been able to adjust a lot better in my car.

I did mean autocross, although it will also be faster at some tracks. RA, probably not. CMP, without a doubt. Barber, probably.
