Recently my drivers side Low Beam has been turning off randomly. When this happens I turn the switch on and off again, and both lights work. Then the same thing can happen again or not depending on the drive. I know very little about lighting and have no hands on experience with this stuff. I know that I'm running ZKWs with a 55w Prolumen Kit at 6K. It came with the car and I believe it was installed professionally by the previous owner. Any input is greatly appreciated.
Maybe, I should also mention when the LB fails I get a reading from the OBC, when everything runs fine the OBC gives the ok.

Just for clarification, is one of you headlights actually turning off, or are you just receiving the low beam failure?
If it your headlight turning off, I am not sure what it might be and will leave it to one of the experts. It is possible that one of your ballasts or bulbs is beginning to die or that the PO used a PNP harness and the connections aren't as solid as they should be. If that were the case, you would need to dig into your headlight and solder the connections
If you are just recieving the LBF failure, then you might want to get some LBF warning cancellors. Or if those aren't your cup of tea, you can permantely disable the LBF.
One of my headlights is actually turning off. TIA
Can someone tell me more about checking my connections, that way I can go from there. What can I do to check the headlights without removing them so I don't have to readjust them? Any input is really appreciated, I need to pass inspection!

This is a guide that is very helpful when you are originally installing your headlights

Basically, you need to make sure that all your connections are clean and pushed together fully. Depending on where the P.O. mounted the ballasts you can work on everything without removing your headlights. Typically, when I am working on my headlights I remove the corners and sometimes the fogs. You might want to try switching ballasts to the other side of the car and see if the problem switches to the other side. You could also do the same with the bulbs. Prolumen kits are sold by Habbie @ Bavtoys and he is very knowledgeable about his products so I would see if you can either PM or AIM him to get some advice! Good luck
