I recently took delivery of my 335i coupe which has an automatic transmission. I have noticed that when I turn the car off theres a little orange light on the shifter panal next to the park or (P) that stays lit for sometime.

Is this normal?

Yes. It takes a long time to turn off.

It goes off (and so does the Start/Stop button light) when the car goes into sleep mode which is 10-15 minutes after you shut it off I believe.
