Ok.. I am going to be one of those people that posts asking for people to come to them to sell their cars just to see what happens. I have been looking all over the place (country wide) for a clean, well kept M and although I have found a few I was not fully excited about any of them.

Heres what i'm looking for in an ideal situation, but tell me what you got cause I am not fully set on a lot of things. I just need to know you took care of the thing. And I wont be replacing the motor in it or anything stupid anytime soon.

Color:
1. Ideally Estoril with Blk manual Heated Vaders.. haha.. I know. .Keep dreaming.
2. BLK on BLK. again ideally manual heated vaders.
3. Wht on Blk same as above
4. Silver on BLK.
5. Ok.. now I am open to Red I suppose but it just scares me.. I drive like a maniac sometimes and it just sticks out like a sore thumb... No Violet or Dakar.. (I mean no distrespect just not my cup of tea so to speak)
6. I am open to other interior options for sure but the condition of said interior will play a major role in my decision.

Condition:
1. I know these cars are old.. I dont expect it to be perfect for crying out loud.. but dont have stuff hanging off where stuff is not supposed to be hanging off. No major dents, no resprays. all original body panels please I know the seats are going to have some cracks.. I just dont want to have to think about it everytime I get in or look at them too awfully much.. so if we can keep those to a minimum that would be great.
2. Have some service records.. oil changes, inspections, whatever.. have something or be able to prove it was taken care of to some degree.
3. Suspension must have been kept up. It can be stock but in very good condition and that mean yes.. shocks/struts, RTAB, RSM, FCAB, Tie Rods. Any of those acronyms that these things are notorius for ruining please have some proof that they have been replaced in a timely manner, or are new.
4. No crazy weird rattles that cannot be explained away without detriment to the cars health. I dont want to hear a timing chain, I dont want to hear it ping, no clunks, no bangs... just drive down the road for crying out loud..... Now again.. assuming you have suspension on the thing I know how it goes.. and I am open to that.. but there is a difference between a stiffly suspended car and one that hops and bangs down the road. I want to drive me car other places than the track.

Mods:
1. As I said it can be stock. But if there are mods please let them be tastefully done. Now I know that is a relative term but we are talking about the car that I want so in that case the term is relative to me.
2. No big wings please.. I dont care if they cost $2500 and are lined with the fanciest carbon weave you have ever seen. Not my thing. A small Gurney lip spoiler or the factory one is delightful.
3. No big chrome wheels.. and no 19's. Staggered is preferred with lip, but not a deal breaker. Hell I like all the stock rims.
4. Just about any intake is fine as long as you maintain it and when I pop the hood there isnt a dead bird and half a squirrel stuck in there.
5. Exhaust.. whatever really.. I would prefer something not too absurdly loud.. but I have delt with open exhausts before just fine and I can adjust if it sounds nice.
6. Instead of going through all the list of mods.. just let me know what it has or doesnt have and I will decide. Just know I dont want something ragged out that makes a bunch of weird noises and doesnt idle right.. I would like the AC to work if at all possible or atleast not sqeuak when I turn it on.

Now I know this is sounding rather picky but there are just so darn many of these things out there that I feel I have the right to be a bit picky.

I am ready to buy at any point, but lets clarify one thing.. I am financing the vast majority of this thing. and the stipulations of my loan define that the car cannot have over 100k on it and they will only give me 135% of the KBB wholesale value. So that means.. Please dont offer me your '95 165k "clean" M for $11500 because I cannot get financing for it and I dont want something with those miles on it anyway.. Hell even a regular '95 is going to be a PITA to get financing for unless it has low mileage. but I do have some cash to throw at it as well so let me see what you got. Lets also note that I am in Wa state.. so if you are in Maine, realize that I am going to need to ship the car and consider that in your asking price as well.

Well thats about it really.. some of you will think I am being an ass or whatever.. I really hope that is not the case and you just feel my frustration about finding one of these beautiful cars in a condition that I consider better than par.

I hope you take the time to read this post and shoot me some emails.

Thanks

Matt
