Im thinking of doing a apexcone kit from ddmtuning. Should I get predator chromium or predator orion LED angel eyes, they are the same price. I plan on 6000k for my HID's.

Why do people ask questions like this?? Would you not marry your fiance if I said no, marry this fat eskimo lady instead? Search for the differences and make your own decision based on what you like. See pics of em and decide which look better in your eyes.

It depends on the look you want. The V1 Orions only have 30 LEDs so it has that uneven look to it which looks pretty good on the E46, but personally I think the Chromiums look better since it's a solid ring of light. Of course, I've heard the V2 Orions now have 60 LEDs which basically makes it look like the Chromiums except it doesn't have the cold start problems the Chromiums do.

Ok, see I know nothing about the 2, thank you for some useful info. And why is it ALWAYS the 1st person to respond to a thread just garbage and have nothing better to do than to write that crap.

So essentially they look the same color wise, but the LED does not suffer cold start warm up, but it has a less constant ring. right?

Yes. The V1 Orion's don't suffer from cold start problems cause they don't use CCFL tubes like the Chromiums do, but the V1's light pattern aren't as consistent cause the 30 LEDs aren't that close to each other. Just like Dakar said, wait for the V2 Orions.

i'm pretty sure the cold start doesn't happen if you do a direct connection. AKA cut the wires that clip together and solder them instead.

Its all a matter of opinion, my current preference is chromiums because to me the orions look like a pearl necklace. I am also waiting to see V2's first hand to make judgement on them.

B/C there are more than 2 threads like this everyday, and the way you worded the question makes it seems like you just want someone to make a decision for you. And I don't know what part of my post you read, but I did say to search to see which ones look better to you, and thats the best way to make a decision on a part thats more opinion than anything. I agree about v2 orion for the e36 b/c v1 looks horrible on a e36.

1st of all, only Umnitza and Bav toys sell Predator Chromium and Predator Orion Angel Eyes. 2nd, i dont think angel eyes belong on e36. just get HIDs and ellipsoids and youll be fine.
