I'm just trying to see how much I'd get for my project car. It's a 1974 2002 tii (Euro Edition/Right Hand Drive). Car has somewhere around 47k original miles. 4 speed manual transmission.

Just need a few of you guys to throw out some prices that I could ask for.

I've attached some pics for reference.

Thanks in advance for the opinions.

Max

As soon as I can get some pricing from here, she'll be put on ebay to the highest bidder.:)

Why not just set a price that you want to get for the car and sell it to someone on here?

I cant see the pictures (military network blocks online storage links and pages) but from the looks of other peoples posts, there is some interest on this board.

I'm trying to figure out a decent starting price to ask for and go from there. Don't really know how muh to honestly ask for, all I know is that its only the 3rd one in the US to be RHD.

I'm not so sure that being a RHD car will make it worth more than a regular tii. Being a Lux does. Now all that being said, doesn't mean I know poop from soap...

Does the car run as good as it looks? You say it's your "project car", what gives it the project status? I'm not a certified appraiser (or much of an 02 expert at all) but I am apparently the only one willing to throw out an actual number, and if the car actually is as good as it looks, I think its worth near about $10k, maybe more.

The car runs, the car does have small spot sized surface rust on some parts but overall its good.

A/C console (no A/C) No Radio. No engine pictures. no underneath pictures. It is a pretty car with a very nice interior. 5000.00 because of the lux interior. Pictures of the motor, records to prove it is a 47k car. Proof of no rust. I think it could double that, maybe even more. Depending on the buyer and how sexy they think it is. Did you buy it off e bay, or were you selling it a while back? What was the reaction back then? Don't get me wrong it is a nice looking car. Putting a value on it, with out all the info is pretty difficult.

I bought it without A/C or radio but as far as the previous owner had it, it did have A/C and a radio but the radio got stollen and the A/C stopped working. The mileage is recorded. I personally have not tried to sell it, and no I did not get it off of Ebay, the previous owner is a good friend of the family, he is a retired mechanic that owned his own shop and worked for BMW in South Florida, he re-did the interior and kept the motor in top condition. I just want to find out how much I can sell it for because I can't keep it anymore.

So enlighten me on what this LUX package is, is that why it has 320i seats and steering wheel, or are those incorrect replacements?

Lux is the upper end trim pkg. wood trim om doors extra storage on bottom of doors and should have an arm rest in back seat. It is pretty sweet interior, almost a precursor of things to come as standard equip on following generation cars.

Sanantonioch, I'm not busting. I just think you shouldn't get your hopes too high. Perfect squaretail tiis aren't pulling in the cash like a roundie tiis. I'm putting it out there so you are not disappointed if it doesn't get way up there. I have owned some rare 02s and none of them brought near the amount of money upon selling that I thought they would.

This same car was on ebay on several occasions in the last four years. Last time I saw in person it was a rat's nest. Asking price was around 2000-300 grand at the time. Somebody did a great cleaning job. Of course I may be wrong but the laws of probability tells me otherwise. I have no desire nor have the cash to pay for a pile of shit but I thought to tell the truth even though I will get the shit for it.

It was also brought to my attention that it was on E-bay a couple of times. While I like the car, I don't think that I would offer up any more than what Andy suggested. Probably less now that I read your post.

Thank you.

And no, I don't think people will give you sh_t for it.

As stated, it does have rust. Rust repair done properly equals big dollars.

If it is VIN 2771089 it sold on Ebay in May '06 for a good deal more than $3k. It looks far better now than it did then.
It also looked like it had a good deal more than 47k miles too; maybe it was ridden & put up wet?
