I've been looking for some time now to buy a hid kit for my 1994 525i low beams and fog lights, however the only kits that are at a decent price aren't made for my car, rather just the bulb. I'm wondering if the wire harness will reach the battery which is under the backseat...... haha.

Also, I was wondering how it would look if i got a hid kit [any suggestions for kelvin temperatures?] for the headlights, and silverstar ultras for the fogs. I'm in high school, so I dont want to be spending 300 + bucks on headlights, so the silverstars will save me quite a bit of money.
Thanks for the advice

nevermind about the wiring harness, i realized that it didnt need to be hooked up to the battery.
But still, any comments on silverstar ultra fogs and 5000k hid low beams

Does your E34 have the ellipsoid projectors? If so, just add in the HIDs. If not, look for some projectors to get the most out of your HIDs.

Ya it does have projectors. Would silverstar ultra bulbs for the fogs look bad with hid headlights [4300 or 5000k]. I found out that the silverstars are 4100k, so they may be slightly yellow, and that's fine, but my question is would they be bright enough or would it be too much of a contrast to the HIDs

personally i don't mind the contrast of halogen fogs and HID lows. it is a very clean OEM look since even newer BMWs don't come with HID fogs. this isn't saying i won't upgrade in the future, but meanwhile it looks good to me.

I like!
My friend bought 6ks from ddm, and they are too blue for my liking, and my dad has to approve of them [im in high school] so i went ahead and bought the 5ks for the lows. Question, would it be okay if i put hids in my fog lights even tho they're not projectors?

oh btw, this probably isnt possible, but that e34 has clear indicators. I have clear housing for my turn signals on the front, but i want it to appear white and blink amber. Is that even possible...?

Sure is possible! Silver bulbs that glow amber. Some people just paint their amber bulbs with high-temp silver paint, which still allows it to glow amber while looking silver when off. Or you can buy them. Bavauto sells them - "stealth" bulbs I think they're called. Slightly expensive though, as far as bulbs go.

Is it legal to have green fogs? I heard some rule about how you can have any color fogs [well besides red] as long as they're pointed towards the ground somewhat.
