I have the above mentioned car with a magnaflow exhaust and no resonators or catalytic converters. The exhaust sounds really raspy and high pitched, to an annoying level.

What could I do to make it a deeper note, so it doesn't sound so ricey?

One of the things I've been looking at is just running straight pipes off the headers with no muffler and possibly a resonator or something. Would this sound more like what I'm looking for?

Any suggestions will be appreciated, thank you.

place a bullet muffler in front of your magnaflow and you will have deep and no rasp sound.

Put a resonator(s) closer to the headers.

That should clean up the exhaust note a bit.

place a bullet muffler in front of your magnaflow and you will have deep and no rasp sound.

Will this cause the exhaust to be not as loud?

And what exactly is a bullet muffler?

yes it will cause the exhaust to not be as loud and also not as hollow sounding, it will make it deeper and being a bullet muffler it wont lose performance. Sorry im used to saying bullet mufflers, they are the skinny round mufflers commonly 12-18" long and 4-6" diameters.

Thanks a lot. I'll look into those.

Btw, the 318 in your tag looks awesome.
