so this problem starts about 7 weeks ago. i sent umnitza my prolumen ignitor from my prolumen slimline kit that i had purchased last august. (getting the product was done in a VERY timely fashion but servicing it is a totally different experience.) i call them 2 weeks after i sent them the ignitor, to check on the progress. they tell me that 'theyve got my ignitor and that its defective", so they tell me "theyre shipping it out today." so 1 week goes by nothing. i call them the next week to ask them about my ignitor they said "it went out yesterday", ok no problem. so another week goes by, again no ignitor. i call them again, they tell me "we r sending it out today, sorry about that." another week and a half go by still nothing, so i call them again this time i ask to speak to the owner. i get him on the line (this happened last thursday) and this time he apologizes for the inconvenience said "it must have slipped through the cracks" and tells me im 2 day airing it to u it will go out friday. (no problem, i did call him at 4pm west coast time so i know it wont go out till the next day.) the guy tells me i should expect my ignitor saturday but no later than tuesday bc of the holiday weekend.

now its tuesday and all deliveries have been made to my house, and still no ignitor. i tried calling Umnitza, but i guess since its tuesday during normal operating hours, no one is answering the phones over there. now im not the type of person to start a thread about how bad a place of business is, but this is getting ridiculous, i feel like this is my last and only hope to get my part back/fixed. ive had nothing but great things to say about Umnitza until this happened.

PLEASE, if someone from Umnitza is reading this, return my phone call or get me my ignitor yesterday!

Hope you get your igniter i had a great experience with them, but sometimes telling your story is the only way to get your rightfully deserved parts/service.

if you indeed called 4 times to try and resolve the issue, then you have a completely legitimate reason to post a thread complaining!

I'm Matt, the owner. I'm aware of this situation and have been following it.
As you see, I did promise and ship the product to you on May 22nd as promised.
Also, as you can see, the post office has had the package in their hands since Saturday - as I had promised to you it should/would arrive there.

Additionally, they show it as having been delivered to you today (due to the Memorial Day holiday).

Label/Receipt Number: 9101 8052 1390 7572 0305 62
Detailed Results:

Bullet Delivered, May 27, 2008, 9:49 am, FORT LAUDERDALE, FL 33327
Bullet Processed, May 24, 2008, 9:03 am, MIAMI, FL 33172
Bullet Electronic Shipping Info Received, May 22, 2008

I would kindly ask you to change the thread title to USPS screwed up. While I admit it fell through the cracks and was not discovered as a warranty claim until you called in (which we recommend doing), we acted swiftly and immediately to remedy your situation once I was aware of the issue. I realize you had called in before, and I apologize for not handling it quickly then. There was an obvious breakdown in communication between my guys and myself for this.

I do apologize for the inconvenience and want to let you know that our warranty procedures are actually quite water tight now and we usually get warranties back to folks within 1 week of issue.

Umnitza has contacted me and fixed the problem. the post office/site i was using to track the package didnt have up to date info. the package is shown as delivered by the post office on saturday. while i still havent recieved my ignitor, the fault lies with the post office in not getting my ignitor to me. tomorrow morning i will be contacting the post office to see what they have to say about my package. id like to thank Matt for being proactive about fixing this problem when it was brought to his attention.

Good that it got resolved, but vendor comments is where you should post...vendor comments. But it seems like this area gets faster responses.

Edit: Duh, it got towed here. My mistake.
