Anyone heard of them, are they any good?? jsp98m3 05-24-2003, 02:43 AM Yes. Expensive though. Not that this matters in your case. But as always, especially for this type of car, have it independently inspected. ReNNeN.CaRL 05-24-2003, 05:35 AM yea ive been there. $$$$ and it didnt seem that they were into aftermarket too much, but i could be wrong. IgotMy18s 05-24-2003, 05:49 AM i havn;t heard about there repair shop but i heard about there retail store in Mira mesa. They sell after market stuff such as intake, exhaust, structs, etc... i think they have a web site and sell stuff on ebay also. CarbonBlkE36 05-24-2003, 09:38 PM $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ toofast4U 05-24-2003, 11:02 PM I don't really care if they are expensive, I just want to know if they can install a M3 engine properly. The guy says he paid about 9 thousand for a crate motor and installation. crate motor is about 4-5K so I'm guessing they are expensive but is their work worth it. If i were to buy this car would the engine crap out on me later? Thanks EstorilBlauM3 05-25-2003, 02:56 AM I had my car serviced there twice. They offer good service and I had a good experience with them. If you are a BMW CCA member, you get 10% off of parts/labor. 95sdm3 05-26-2003, 12:43 PM yes i agree with estorilblaum3. i had my first bmw serviced there and they were very good with everything. toofast4U 05-26-2003, 02:59 PM thanks guys for the help... Ben Carufel 05-26-2003, 03:35 PM I had my mom's '98 Altima serviced there :). The intake manifold gasket was shot and Mossy wanted $1100 and change, so I took it to Cameron Clanton (the service manager that was at AJUSA until about 2 months ago) and he took care of it, had the manifold deck surfaced, etc., for $400. Nice guy. Too bad he's not there anymore. The SDBMWCCA had a Tech Session there a month or so ago though. That was lots of fun...nice facility, etc. But for BMW repair in San Diego you can't beat BMW Service Specialists in Downtown. |
