Yes. Expensive though. Not that this matters in your case. But as always, especially for this type of car, have it independently inspected.

I don't really care if they are expensive, I just want to know if they can install a M3 engine properly. The guy says he paid about 9 thousand for a crate motor and installation. crate motor is about 4-5K so I'm guessing they are expensive but is their work worth it. If i were to buy this car would the engine crap out on me later?

Thanks

I had my car serviced there twice. They offer good service and I had a good experience with them. If you are a BMW CCA member, you get 10% off of parts/labor.

I had my mom's '98 Altima serviced there :). The intake manifold gasket was shot and Mossy wanted $1100 and change, so I took it to Cameron Clanton (the service manager that was at AJUSA until about 2 months ago) and he took care of it, had the manifold deck surfaced, etc., for $400.

Nice guy. Too bad he's not there anymore. The SDBMWCCA had a Tech Session there a month or so ago though. That was lots of fun...nice facility, etc.

But for BMW repair in San Diego you can't beat BMW Service Specialists in Downtown.
