I have had a busy last few weeks with my 8 and figured I would post some pictures and a quick run down of the events.

First, I had the CSi front and rear installed along with and RD front bumped filler. Then I put a staggered set of M-Parallels on. I had the evaporator and expansion valve replaced on my AC.

Finally, I did a healty list of suspension work this last weekend. I replaced the stock springs with Eibachs and replaced the bumpstops with CSi versions. CSi sway bars were installed and M5 TC bushing installed.

Over the weekend, I had access to a lift, an alignment machine, and best of all a friend who does suspension work for a living. Together we knocked out the suspension work and some routine maintainance. I have read all of the posts about the rear suspension and I must say, I am glad I did not have to do the work with a floor jack and jack stands. My hat is off to those who did.

I was going to install K-Mac caster/camber plates but was missing a part so those will have to go on when the parts arrive.

Pictures will follow.

Very nice! A friend with a lift is a friend indeed :D

Cheers

PS. The bumper filler is a great piece. I wish that in Cali we didn't need a front plate :(

yeah... I still don't use the front plate though. It's pretty rare to get a ticket from it. :/...

Texas is a front plate state - most of the time it is a verbal/written warning, but sometimes you get to fork over about $150 for that offense

Yes, Texas is a front plate state. I have had at least one car without a front plate for the last 20 years. I can usually talk my way out of the citation and if I can't, I write it off as the cost of the car. Its not a moving violation and does not increase insurance.

In Los Angeles, it is rare to get pulled over for no front plates. The real action happens when you park your car on the street, say at a metered space. The Parking Violations vultures will hone in on your car seemingly instantly and slap a hefty ticket on your car. I once was washing my 750 in front of my old place, ran inside to grab a cold beer, and got a ticket. I was gone for 1 minute. When I got outside, the Parking Violations car was taking off. My car was wet, there was a bucket full of soapy water, a sponge on my car... It didn't matter. They are quick on the draw here in Cali!

From a productivity standpoint, and a dollars earned for the county standpoint, the best you see from any government is in the assessing and collecting of fees, with the priority on the former. If only they could parlay that nature into the rest of their services.

I beg you all, in 2008, don't give them more or a chance. I apologize in advance for asking.

no front plate on 2 of my 8's. In the last 3 months- 2 warnings on the white one and one on the glacier for a total of 3! I file each one in the car it belongs to on the visor! I have had TX DPS tell me directly it will never be a ticket (unless there are other charges to go with it!). All have been very nice and good conversation. Don't even drink one beer (or whatever else) and drive tho!
