6-7k for a 840?

I'm not too familiar with 8 series but I usually see them go way over 6k so that struck me as odd

This is a scam. I have seen this car at different times over the last 3 years. I reconize the photo. Try getting a tel number.. Won't happen

Although largely justified, Nikasil engines shouldn't be dismissed out of hand like that. It really depends on where they were from in the country. Mine came from your area, has 170k and still running fine and strong. A few people I know never had issues.

If it hasn't failed yet, you're probably fine.

I was gonna say its probably got half a million miles on it or something, but its probably a scam.

Try! He or She needs the money! For some of us (me included - Very Thankful to be Financially stable - Hell Employed) that are not Hard-Up, it's hard to believe selling at this price. It could be GAS Price, Maintenance!

I am thinking of doing a Full Ethelnol conversion (Injectors, All Filters needed) to run 85% (much cheaper than 91 octane and just more Octane).

There is a company in Ft.Worth that sells the Ethelnol/Corn-Vegteable Mixer-Refining Kit.

correct: It is a long story about a "conversation" I had at the gas pump 2 years ago with a tree-hugger in his Toyota Prius - seems he had ALOT to say about all the arrogant assholes out there that drive gas-guzzling V12's. I pointed out that at the end of the day, I am still driving a high-end BMW and he is driving a Toyota.

Anyway, "HYBRID" was initially the Latin word for Limp Home Mode (sometimes 6, sometimes 12 cylinders), but it also refers to burns both gas and rubber (or money).

ever since I put that emblem on, I have had "thumbs up" from passers-by and people commenting that they didn't realize BMW hada HYBRID technology (even at the Dealership in Ft. Worth, it created a stir.

answer to the other question (which should be obvious now, is that it is my car). As far as I know there are a few out there that have affixed the same emblem to their V12's (I have the Toyota part # if anyone is interested)

Hmmm!!! I can see the benefit of that badge. If you have a hybrid around DC Metro area, you can drive solo on the High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes during rush hour traffic and have little or no traffic on your lane. :D:D:D:D
