I didnt mind that I missed the price drop because DDM's prices were already lower than what the market was providing. I waited less than a week, service was great, packaging of the product was incredible, and obviously the price was in a range that a person who has to mod on a budget could afford. I was so pleased with this company and the direction they are leading the market, I submitted a resume and start on location June 2nd. Anyone on backorder for headlights will be contacted tomorrow by phone to tell you what day your lights will ship. Back in late April we sold 580 pairs of headlights. I expected about 250 sales. Since that time we have probably sold that many more AGAIN. With ordering leadtime to Taiwan and China plus the 3 week boat trip/customs clearance, it takes time to clear the lag in supply versus orders. If we were selling at high prices and shipping 1 or 2 sets of lights per week like some, this wouldn't have been an issue. It won't be an issue at all soon. I'm currently in stock on all lights and have ordered multiple containers of lights from DEPO and will continue to do so. We are still adding people and will be adding more. I'm committed to taking care of all customers in a timely fashion. And I do it at 50% of what others sell for. Jim SD08 05-29-2008, 12:07 AM I believe I bought all my items from them on Monday. The only difference is that DDM sent the right part, and then for some reason I got called an idiot and that I actually had the right part. The remainder will ship on Monday. Anyone waiting for foglights or other brick-a-brack wil get those shipped to them on Wed. Plus, if we cannot ship everything on an order by tomorrow, we will ship partial and eat the cost on shipping backorders as we always do. This calling program is for headlights only at this point. Anyone waiting for a bumper should have been contacted multiple times by now. Other small items that may be on backorder are ALL scheduled to ship no later than Wednesday. Remarkeable prices led to unbelievable order volume which couldn't be coped with on the material supply side or on the labor side. Things are returning to normal now. We would be completely caught up tomorrow if it wasn't for the surprisingly fast adoption of Apexcone as the new headlight standard. We sold a suprising majority of Apexcone. I guess the $100 headlight/HID deal was just too good to resist. God help us when we go to Direct Delivery Marketing (for those that have been wondering what DDM stood for, let the light bulbs start to come on) and Euros with HID cost a lot less than that. In any case, the boats and planes are landing and the last stuff will be out of here by Wednesday. In July, we'll be on our way to knocking the last of the gouging out of the market and we'll see how well we can do. Your case and your statements above support my thinking entirely: You wanted a sponsorship, we don't do those and now now you've "found the way" Whether you are actually shilling for a vendor or not based on subsidized product or not, your statements certainly seem to support it. We don't buy favorable reviews from customers and we won't buy our way out of bad ones. Integrity is priceless to me, you seem to have a definitive price on yours. I will dissect the billing conditions after we get your orders taken care of to your satisfaction. If you were billed before shipping it basically comes down to two situations. If you ordered online, the Yahoo Store bills you on checkout, there's nothing I can do about that. If you were billed afterward for a call-in order etc, then that is a mistake. I have corrected an issue where shipping was printing out shipping labels in advance of shipping orders. That act would trigger billing in the accounting department because the rules we have state that we bill on shipping, generally at the same time. If someone in shipping prints out a shipping label before they can or do ship the product, this can occur. In any cases like this, the customer can choose to have us refund the shipping until we can ship. As an update, all known order for DEPO headlights have shipped today. A few orders for Apexcone headlights will ship next week, most likely on Wednesday but I will have a better idea exactly on each persons order on Monday. We have to verify the arrival of more containers by ship that are scheduled to dock tomorrow. If they all pre-clear customs and don't get X-Ray'd, Wednesday will be the shipping day.
