my 2006 3.25i with idrive was recently broken into and the only thing stolen was the navigation dvd. rather then go out and pay 200 for a new disc on top of the cost of replacing the window i tried making a copy of my friends disc (he has the same car). when i tried the copy in the car the navigation would not recognize the dvd.
I used roxio to copy it to a TDK +R blank dvd. is there anything i can do to make this work??

I think the guy who stole it tried the same thing, then decided to steal yours :rolleyes. Sorry not trying to add to your misery, just trying to lighten it up, wish I could help.

you can try -R as they are more compatible, might work.
Some of these Navi dvd are dual layer, I'm not sure though

do you know if there is any type of copy protection?
