OK guys keep in mind this is my FIRST bmw.

In my previous world of cars flowmaster has been the way to go. But since gas is where it is and 8 cylinder car's are out of the question, added to my new found love for BMW's i dont know what is what when it comes to brands and what is good.

So I'm pretty much wanting to get whatever has the highest HP gains, while adding some nice sound to the car. I'd prefer a deep throatier sound if at all possible.

TIA

Kev

I have the Borla catback, and it has a deep rumble sound. Gets a good engine note around 4000 RPM's. They claim 5 to 15hp increase.
Dinan, Borla, Eissenman, and probably Magna Flow would be the best to look at for your car.

I'm really looking for like a bolt on cat-back system or something that i could do myself.

The Borla I have claimed to be a clamp on model. It needed to be tack welded when all said and done, it leaked like a sieve with the thermocouples they supplied, not impressed. To each their own, I 'm not impressed with clamp designs.

I agreed, i was thinking more along the lines of a cat back bolt on, i know these where real popular on the SRT's easy just line up and bolt on at the flanges
