Anyone ever deal with these dealers?

Alek,
Honestly, in the case of these cars, it's not really about the dealer, it's about that particular car. None of them are knowledgeable about e31s - although every single one will tell you that they are! The lesson I've finally learned is that when buying a used car from a dealer, I have to treat it as if I found it in a parking lot sitting by itself and there is no one around to tell me a thing about it.
First thing to do is go here (http://www.e31faq.com/Default.aspx?catId=86) and print out everything and memorize it. Next thing to do if you find a car that passes muster is to have pre-purchase inspection done as these articles suggest. You've got a couple of great shops to choose from in Bullet Motor Works and Solely BMW to do this. These cars are VERY expensive to make right if they are not taken car of-that $10k car could easily become a $30k car if it's not right.
These are great cars and we love them dearly, but they do require a bit of love and devotion to keep them happy...
