while you have your part off do you mind taking a pic of the underside
of that cover? my selector thingy isn't there and i was wondering what it looks like

It's not off completely just yet, but I can tell you that I have nothing under the cover. It just lays there with a small screw on top to "hold" it in place. Other than to barely cover up the area aound the selector lever, it's no good, but i'll still take a pic if you want.

is that a tape that shows the selected gear?
whatever it is it is missing from mine

here is what i did to my cover.
looks like the top bolt is line, right?
i got a bit of JB weld and glued a larger washer
to the plastic then i glued a smaller washer on top
of that bigger washer to level the area a bit again.
once it was dry i put a bolt in it. it's holding like a charm.

Looks like the mounts for your HVAC are broken as well..... like mine. :(
