ANNUAL SPRING EURO MEET, DRIVE & DINE
SUNDAY, JUNE 1st 9:30-11am MEET; 11:15am DEPART

MEETING PLACE: Starbucks - Milestone Shopping Center, Germantown, MD directions below...

INFO: It's once again time for the Euro Annual Spring Meet... Last year there were 103 cars at the meeting place and 48 made the drive... Let's see if we can top that this year... We will meet in the parking lot at Milestone Shopping Center by Borders Books and Starbucks... We will chat, exchange stories then head off for a spirited drive through upper Montgomery Co. & lower Frederick Co... The drive should last about 90 minutes or less... I've scoped out what will be a very challenging route with lots of open roads with lots of twisties!!! If you were on the Fall Drive then you know what I mean :)... Directions will be handed out to all prior to departing... We don't want anyone getting lost... We will end at the famous PB Dye Golf Club for lunch...

Directions to Starbucks Milestone:
Heading South on RT 270 from Frederick Area:
Get off at Exit 16 Father Hurley Blvd and turn left at the light at end of ramp… Take Father Hurley Blvd to entrance to Milestone Shopping Center on right… Pull into entrance and take first left or second left and proceed to Starbucks on left…

Heading North on RT 270 from RT 495:
Get off at Exit 16 Father Hurley Blvd and bear right on ramp toward Damascus … Take Father Hurley Blvd to entrance to Milestone Shopping Center on right… Pull into entrance and take first left or second left and proceed to Starbucks on left…

From RT 70 Baltimore Area:
Get off RT 70 at Exit 68 which is RT 27 Mt. Airy exit… Take RT 27 South through Damascus (stay on RT 27 as it takes a Right in Damascus ) and continue until you get to RT 355 Frederick Road… Take Left on RT 355 and proceed to first light and turn right into Milestone Shopping Center … Go to stop sign and turn right and you will see Starbucks…

From other areas: Use your GPS or favorite online mapping program and head to address:

From the responses received at all the various EURO forums, this just might be our biggest event yet... Last sping's event drew 103 cars... I'm sure we can top that number... The only limiting factor is the crappy weather we've had this spring... Let's keep our fingers crossed for some GREAT weather... :cool

We ran the CTD run today which was the final test of the route for next Sunday... We all had a great time and ended at PB Dye golf course for lunch... Even one of the CTD group from New jersey came down to do the run...

Gina and I look forward to seeing everyone next Sunday... The weather is supposed to be beautiful... We hope you come on out and enjoy the day...

what kind of cars are we expecting to come?

bull30
05-25-2008, 06:49 PM
Porsches, BMWs, AMGs, Lotus', Ferraris and a couple of Lambos (only if there's no threat of rain)... That will make up the majority of the cars... I'm sure there will be a few others... Since I don't require a RSVP, you never quite know what to expect...

Last spring we had 103 cars and the weather was perfect... Hopefully we will have more of the same this year...

If it's raining you can bet on the Exotics not showing up... However, we don't like to mention that 4 letter word...

So far the weather forecast for next Sunday is sunny with clouds 79... Let's keep our fingers crossed...

It's posted at all the Porsche, Ferrari, Lambo, Lotus, BMW, Audi as well as a few other well know forums and of course Rennlist (this started 3 years ago as the Rennlist Spring Event and has just continued to grow)... This is the 3rd year that Gina and I have put on the Spring event... We have put the Fall event on for 2 years... It's always a blast... Since we don't require an RSVP you never know what kind of cars are going to show... Sometimes there's even an Aston Martin and a TVR or 2, but always a lot of Porsches, BMWs, Audi's, Ferrari's etc...

How could looking at a bunch of cool cars, bench racing, and driving some great roads be a waste of your morning? It will be well worth your time if you're not afraid of a nice twisty road!:evil2

It's looks like the weather for the Annual Spring Event is going to be spectacular... This is an excellent opportunity to come out and meet fellow sports car enthutiasts... Many come to the meet only and don't make the drive... Some come to the meet & drive and can't stay for the lunch... All are welcome and NO RSVP IS NECESSARY... Hope to see you Sunday

I took a small group out after lunch for another 90 minute run... No maps or directions, just keep up with and follow the Bull... We had an absolute blast and the route I took them on included the other tunnel... It was also a route that I would rate in the expert category... Not for the faint of heart...
