840rod 05-18-2008, 04:06 PM Incredibly nice... very very...
Yo,
Rod
JimmyBones 05-18-2008, 04:18 PM Nice!
Koizumi 05-18-2008, 04:32 PM Wow. Love the body kit.
840rod 05-18-2008, 04:53 PM CSi front ... ACS rear and side?
Yo
Auraraptor 05-18-2008, 04:59 PM What is the front? :confused
Koizumi 05-18-2008, 05:03 PM The front isn't CSi. Maybe a customized CSi nose with the little side holes cut in?
8eights 05-19-2008, 03:39 AM Front looks like Zeemax.
1chiban 05-19-2008, 03:40 AM Yes, it is Zeemax. the ZM8 widebody kit is my secret desire... 4000k anyone?

Zeemax standard not wide body I take it. Is even the standard front end hyper expensive? :confused
1chiban 05-19-2008, 06:19 AM yes, it's standard, I was just saying that I want the wide kit. The front valence is like 317$ or something.
Toy72 05-19-2008, 01:19 PM Dude...:buttrock
liilpa09 05-19-2008, 01:21 PM looks awesome man

Where can one buy it (Standard, not widebody)? I tried googling, but failed...epically.
Koizumi 05-19-2008, 03:17 PM Ahhh, now I notice that it has a Zeemax front. I've never seen a detailed pic of the Zeemax front without the added splitters. The rear trunk trim is ok, though it would look better if it was molded into the trunk.
Sadly, it appears that the only source is direct from Zeemax UK. Damn shame, too, as the Zeemax standard bodykit is great. I like the front/side splitters & the rear window trim a lot. When armed with big $$$, there are no obstacles! More money, more folly!

Rear window trim? I don't see it. :(
The mirrors look different too. Not like standard CSi spec ones at all...

The mirrors on the lovely canadian Dinan 8 look like ACS mirrors to me.
Rane has got the rear window trim piece. Looks nice.

Koizumi 05-19-2008, 07:31 PM The price of cool ain't cheap. Best nose in my book.

I am very torn between it and the RD front end. I am also flirting with the idea of a CSi front end with custom projector fogs added.
Koizumi 05-19-2008, 08:11 PM I was also toying with the idea of custom fogs, too. There is an RF member with an 8 with the full ACS kit that 'inspired' me in respects to custom fogs. Not sure if I'm going to do it now though as I am waiting for Laszlo's custom Mesh Grill to arrive in the mail. TerryY has the RD front I think. The Zeemax kit its the nicest I think. Especially with the side & front splitters. Maybe one day I'll go for it, but more upgrades under the hood first for me.
Cheers
1chiban 05-19-2008, 08:26 PM yeah, I spoke to Barry as well. They used to have a US Zeemax *certified* shop in Ohio or something, and if I remember it was cheaper. When I went to zeemax.com a year ago it was there so maybe they don't do that anymore.
David, I totally agree. The thing about the Zeemax kit is that it CAN be molded into the trunk and personally if you're going to go the whole 9, go for the wide body kit as the possibility of fully customizing it the way you want is entirely up to you. Then again, it's all personal preference.
I don't know if any of you noticed <.<... Europe has a grip of things offered that I wish were availible locally (at least within the US.)
Cheers,
Thomas
RANE2001 05-19-2008, 08:41 PM I have it molded into the trunk and also have the rear window spoiler from Zeemax. If I had that white Dinan twin turbo I would do the widebody in a heart beat Let me know if you ever want to sell it :D

I think you and I are of the same mold, my friend.
Wuffer 05-19-2008, 09:04 PM TerryY has a Wings West lower front bumper - not an RD.
Koizumi 05-19-2008, 09:11 PM Thanks Wuffer, now I remember. The Wings West front is certainly unusual.
Cheers
PS. The Zeemax widebody kit is amazing. I would have to find an excellent bodyshop though, to do the rear quarter panels correctly.

I have to give him credit for being different. It is nice we have all these options however. I think I might go with a RD front for my 8. It is the most subtle of all the various options.
hipshot 05-21-2008, 02:12 AM I was wondering. My bmw rip off artist..I mean dealer can get me the chip for the engine and tranny for 450, with 3 hrs install time.
Is that a fair price?
Should I invest in Kbars roll bars also at the same time?

are you talking about a stock chip? a tuned chip? because that's exactly what DINAN charges for both of their chips installed.
