Hi, I'm Ian Spencer and I'm new to this forum. I've been a collector of older British cars for the past 20 years and I'm in the process of selling off most of my collection and buying (1) one more modern sports car. Top of my list is the 2000 M Coupe in Evergreen or Titanium Silver with red hides.
I've been eyeballing a Florida M Coupe (Evergreen) that was recently listed on eBay with 74,000 miles and was curious to know if anyone knew about this car and could advise on it's condition. Also, what should I be looking for while shopping for one of these vehicles. Looking forward to joining the M Club soon! :cool

Great condition. Same S52 240+HP motor as the 2000 M Coupe.
Not many issues with these cars as there is not much in them that can go wrong. Motor/Trany combo is bulletproof. Rear diff can tear away from subframe if driven very hard. The usual E36 stuff applies such as cooling system, suspension. Should be some info at the E36/8 Syndicate page

The subframe is the main issue. Since you will probably be looking for one some distance away, ask them to take photos under the car and of the hatch. Insure there are no rips or popped welds. They will need to remove the tool kit, carpet and scrape away the black sound deadening material in order to take photos from the hatch.
I sold my almost 2 years ago. My buyer asked me to do this, any seller should be willing to do so. Good luck. :)

That would be the S52. The 2001-2002 Coupes and roadsters came with the 315hp(rated) S54.
Let me know if you're interested in a Roadster.
