Almost two months ago I fell victim to the money shift. One of my Ireland Engineering motor mounts was cracked and I didnt even know it. We contemplated doing numerous swaps and builds but with my plans for HDPE's and a making it a future IP car we opted to swap in an S52.

My car has somewhat of a bastardized history. It is a 97 M3 and was stolen when it was a lease vehicle and was stripped of all the M parts (engine, tranny, interior, bumpers etc.) The owner swapped in a complete drivetrain out of a wrecked 95 car.

Long story short
Broken Engine Mount = Missshift = Overrev = $$$

New Goodies

1997 BMW M3 S52 3.2L Engine with 60k miles out of an Automatic 97 car. I converted it back to OBD1 for all the usual reasons, tuning etc.

Went ahead and did a bunch of preventative maintenence to make it track ready...for the little stuff:
Rear Main Seal
Pilot Bearing
Driveshaft Carrier Bearing
Driveshaft/Trans Connector Bushing

For the bigger stuff...
UUC 8.5lb Aluminum Flywheel/M5 Clutch and Pressure Plate

Fluids: Redline throughout

Currently I am waiting on a few miscellaneous bolts and my Coolant Temp Sensor Harness to arrive from Turner.

I will get some more updated pictures as it all goes back together. In the next few days.
