Morning all,

Reading the post regarding the E38 cabin filters, and decided my E32 must be "grubby". Went searching, and found the excellant write ups on how to change them etc, good, BUT all the ones I have found so far are for LHD, and you go via the back of the glove compartment. I got a steering column etc in that area.

Being fairly buggered up with arthritis, and pins and stuff in the back lying under dashes is not my favourite position, but I manage, no problem. I am just looking for some headsup on doing this on a RHD car, maybe its easier than LHD??????. The list of tools I need to take in with me will be the same I reckon, just some words of "encouragement" from a RHDriver who has done it would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Hmmm, I haven't heard this request in quite awhile...but do a search for "shogun"...he has a lot of e32 info on his website...and he probably has info for RHD e32s...or can direct you to who may know how to accomplish the job on a RHD.

Good luck.

Thanks guys,

I'll wait for Shogun, mmmm.

I remember we had 4 Shogun's in Papua New Guinea in the early '90's, and they were "huge mean arse Mitsubishi Prime Movers", and would go "missing" for days at a time, maybe its in the name haha.

Here's a link I found doing a search that took me to Roadfly's e32 forum. There is a link at this link that will take you to the UK e32 Register Forum...but as it states...you may need to register there to become a member so that you can see the instructions on how to change out the HVAC microfilter on a RHD e32: http://forums.roadfly.com/forums/bmw/bmw-7-series-e32/8590734-1.html

Good luck. :)

Thanks Qsilver7, that link was (*&^(dy keyboard) what I was looking for. Had to register, no big deal, and there is a lot of write up on it, and it is a PAIN with the column in the way, but do-able, as the Brits say. Found Shogun over there also.

Great...good luck with the filter.

I used to frequent that forum years ago...but it was when I had my e32 (1991 735iL).
