Have a 85 735i that will turn over but will not run. Have fuel but no spark. Is it possible that the speed/reference sensors are shot? How much would a new sensor be? Looked on Real OEM and can't find the part numbers.
Any help would be appreciated. Also should I try and replace the cap/rotor first?
Thanks for the help.

I'm not sure if you mean wheel speed sensors? These would have no effect on the starting of your engine.
Cap/rotor?

Change your tires, i guarantee it'll turn over.
But in reality if there is no spark i think it makes sense to check the electrical system. Check fuel by removing the line and turning key to position 2. Check electrical by grounding yourself, sticking your finger in the boot and having someone try to start it.

Speed and ref sensors on the tranny.
Yes, if they're out of spec (checking with a meter), they can cause a no start.
The cap and rotor can as well, so at least check the condition of those.
Then again, there's a lot that can cause a no start. Even the OBC relay, so list what you've checked, tested, or replaced and we'll try to help.
