Ive had the car for a few days now, not too long ago (obviously) I noticed what looked like a chip in my piano key trim, right by the shifter. There is ONE thing i know, i didnt put the lil chip there... am i being WAY over the top to ask the dealership to smooth it out.

Thanks.

Well you can ask . . .

If you have had it for 5 days, look at it from the dealers point of view. Besides, I am not sure that something like that can even be repaired?

I have no clue if it can be repaired either, its small...not a HUGE deal, but its just fu@king killing me LoL (know what i mean) I guess it never hurts to ask, other than the fact that they are going to think im UBER paranoid..which is also partially true hahaha.

To fix this, it looks like it would have to be filled in a bit...then buffed out. Im trying to think of ways i can do this myself without making it worse, so for now im just leaving it the way it is. Ive tried rubbing it with detail solutions and such and trying to rub it out, but it almost looks like someone pressed something down on it...because its INDENTED in the clear.

dang, it just sucks.

I understand. With watches it is only a matter of time before you get that first nick or scratch. When it happens it is almost a relief and it shows that the item is being used for what it was meant for.

Of course if it still bugs you, just throw a rock at your windshield to take your mind off it! :stickoutt ;)

Beshannon, LoL! Thats some funny stuff, and you wanna know what...truth is, when you put it that way, it really help DIFFUSE my anxiety :D if it were just a scratch, i could get that out, but its looking like this chip is here to stay, its just that i didnt put it there and thats what kinda got on my nerves.

im sure it was a matter of time before my keys slipped outta the ignition and fell on the piano key, it just destroyed me a little on the inside LoL. My friends told me it was going to be like this, slowly watch the "new" fading away on your newly purchased BMW hahahaha.

Ill pass on the rock through the windshield ;)
