NCC holds a social every 2nd Thursday of each month in Columbia. We're currently at Champps in Columbia Mall and the next one is Thu, June 12 @ 6p.

We start on the top of the parking garage hanging out with our cars and then at 7p we head inside to eat/drink, and then back to the cars!!!

Great fun every month and a great way to meet other BMW CCA members.

Pretty much just pick a date and set it. The post the hell out of it and hope people show up. But if you wanna cruise somewhere you need to map out where and which way you wanna go to get there.

We just met up at a dunkin doughnuts off rt.2 in geln burnie. not an official meet just soemthing some ppl threw together and all backed out cause the rain.

I thinking of a low key Sunday meet and drive. We'll call it " The Free State Donut Run". Meet at The Burtonsville Dunkin Donuts on a Sunday morning and cruise somewhere. The location in good, because it's right between DC and B-more. Easy access off 95 with minumal traffic that time of the week.


Just need a second point to drive to. Another donut / coffee shop with minimal road obstructions (lights, tolls, ect...) might be nice.

Sorry to hijack. There is a car meet tonight in crofton/gambrills at the waugh chapel shopping center. Its about a mile from capital raceway. Starts around 830 ends around 1200. Cops dont hassle to much dont throw us out. They only bother the people who are causing trouble.

I think you're trying to make it a bigger deal than you want. It almost sounds like you want to arrange a dance with cumber buns and corsages.

Look at your calendar, find some good open nights for yourself, and list them. Those who are interested could check theirs and report which ones also work them. Make a simple spreadsheet and find the date that allows the most people to meet up. Set it, announce it to everyone, and see who actually shows up.

Yeah Burtonsville is great, me and my bro goes every now and then. He drives a red NSX, love that car! Bunch of NSX's usually come there, including lambos, ferraris, vettes, 911s, old classics, haven't seen our bunch in the mix :(

Hey it's really simple, there's I95 really close by, highways always fun, and I found some directions maybe could help you:

From Silver Spring, Washington, DC, and other points south:

Take Colesville Road/Rt. 29 north. You will pass the intersection of 29 and Briggs Chaney Road. Keep going. Stay in right lane. Exit at Rt. 198/Burtonsville/Laurel. At bottom of ramp, turn left onto 198. Go right at first traffic light. This is Rt. 29 "local", also called Old Columbia Pike. Burtonsville Crossing Shopping Plaza is to the right.

From Spencerville, Olney, and other points west:

Go on Rt. 198 (Spencerville Rd.) eastbound. Enter Burtonsville and pass McDonalds and Sandy Spring Bank. Turn left onto Old Columbia Pike. Burtonsville Crossing Shopping Plaza is to the right.

From Columbia and points north:

Take Rt. 29 south. Exit at 198 - Laurel -Burtonsville. (Before the exit, there will be a sign saying "Burtonsville Town Center next right, to 198.) Go around a small traffic circle and continue south; follow the sign to Old Columbia Pike south and198. Turn left at the first traffic light past Meadows Nursery. Take the first right. That is the entrance to the plaza.

That meet in crofton is always a good spot to chill. Cops dont mind at all as long as people arent doing stupid stuff.

Thats cool that you did that and all but I'm not sure your going to get a whole lot of members because you have limited it to just maryland people (even though our active community includes DC,DE,PA,VA and so on.) Also that is way more categories then is necessary for all of maryland. Don't get me wrong if it is a success then more power too you. Good luck with it.

And to be honest, the goal of the forum wasn't to attract a large amount of members. Its to serve a purpose of organizing bimmer meets in the baltimore metro area and getting the info out. The other sub sections are just there.

Its a vintage meet - so unless you have a 2002 or 1600 - then the purpose is enjoying vinatge cars - not showing your own.

Yeah it's mostly older cars, but there are also some newer corvettes, ferrari, porshe... Like a Noaha's Ark car show... 2BMW, 2 lowriders, 2 duece coupes, 2 Ferrari...

I saw my first Dakar in person last night. Wasn't hard to track down being there's like two of you in the MAR. MarylandDakarM3 coming off 295 south onto rte 100. I was in the black e38.

I usually come down from the catonsville area by taking:
95 south,
to 32 west,
to 29 south,
take the 198 west exit,
though the traffic circle,
follow the road down about 2-3 miles,
the meet will be on the right.

I usually park over by the Dutch Farmers Market around 8:30 or 9:00. It has good access in & out of the lot.

Cars are constantly rolling through. So from hour to hour cars change
