The GT battles it out as one side is stocked with high-horsepower tube-frame Mustangs, Vettes, and Pontiacs while the other side is full of screaming lightweight Mazda RX-8's and the pure-bred Porsches. And it won’t be just the GT battles to follow. For the endurance enthusiast, the KONI Challenge will offer up two flavors of multi-driver tests of man, machine, and sometimes, patience. For those of you with shorter attention spans, the SCCA Pro Speed World Challenge sprint race is just the ticket. Everyone in the race gets to write their name in rubber along the front straight as the race comes to life in an instant with a standing start.

I'm tentatively planning to go. The Town Memorial Day Parade and the family cookout will be on Sunday, so I will be free to head up for the GT races on Monday.
