Anyone have an idea of how to insulate the stock air-box and maybe the intake boots from the engine heat? I just got back from driving, removed the air box and noticed how hot the air inside of it can get. I was thinking of maybe an adhesive backed reflective material that i could wrap them in.

Hm, not really sure unless you build a custom heatshield or remove the high beam and run the intake pipe there to draw in cooler air.

That said, if you got a way, I'd love to see a log of intake temps in the filter box when the car is actually moving; I would imagine it gets cooler as soon as you get moving.
