Very clean looking setup, looks like ESS did a great job. Is the filter touching the blower?

dyno yet?

Software is not 100% done yet. In a few weeks I should be able to dyno it. Car is tuned to be on the safe side until then :)

Specs

Z4M ESS CFR500/525/550 Supercharger System (114-12)
Featuring the newly developed, clutched high-speed ASA TM1-20HD supercharger unit which combines the efficiency of a turbocharger with the drivability and smoothness of a supercharger. As this unit is based on mechanical gears it does not suffer from the reliability issues that most other high-speed, ball-geared supercharger units are haunted by.

The CFR system comes with a massive front mount intercooler system and especially developed cast aluminium plenum chamber designed for boost.

The supercharger system includes redesigned ESS MSS70 engine control software that is perfectly calibrated for the supercharged engine providing optimum ignition timing under all conditions, recalibrated EGas for quicker throttle response, recalibrated VANOS control and perfectly optimized fuel delivery supplied by 6 larger Bosch injection valves included with the kit. The software also features full WOT closed loop AF monitoring and adaptation.

Power development is 100% smooth and the car behaves just like stock until you demand power, then the car completely transform providing brutal acceleration normally reserved for pure race cars. The CFR system provides impressive torque normally not seen in centrifugal supercharger systems and it combines this with great top-end power.

The system maintains all OBD-II functions and it is backed by a comprehensive 2 year, unlimited mileage warranty program. The system installs in 12-16 hours using normal hand tools and no irreversible modifications to the car is necessary.

If you can take your car to the Norway facility you can have them install it now. As for a kit they wont release it for a few more months. Final tuning is being done now.

Its worth the wait :)

ESS is from Norway, They have a Euro Z4M coupe that they have done the ECU work and have finished the production kit for. The software in the US version is much different and they needed a car to tune a kit on so they can build and ship these kits to the US for sale.

My car is the test car we still have not finished tuning. The software is very close to finished but ESS is very particular about having perfect software before product release.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but i don't know of anybody putting out forced induction stuff for the Z4 yet. I spoke to Active, which is close to me just across the state in Miami, and they were interested in doing an installation on mine as their test mule, which I'm seriously considering. The entire Scandanavian approach to supercharging bimmers can be seen on some outrageous youtube pieces, just do a search.

That sure is a sweet looking and uber-sano installation on this beauty for sure!
