Does anyone have a suggestion or "hook up"?
My buddy with a 911 RUF Turbo (Jason, for those that have met him), has to get his car inspected and sniffed...He's running straight pipes, throws flames out the tail pipes on occasion, and has a 0% chance of passing. Who has a "properly" calibrated sniffer?

no idea man....
i always go to sgambato's in NP, but my father has been going to him for the past 30 years..... he passed mine with the tint, no front plate, and exhaust........... but those are all stupid little things compared to a straigh pipe RUF haha
one of my buddy's has an audio shop (XL Audio) and he was mentioning to me that he has someone that does inspections.....
i'll let you know if i hear anything on it....

I'd appreciate it. He's scheduled to go to German Motor's in Providence tomorrow...he might have a fighting chance there.
I'd hate to see him have to put some cats on his beast..

that sucks
well...... F the cats, a ticket for inspection costs a hell of a lot less that what cats would cost
not the best attitude, but its somewhat reasonable haha

Well, in 1 year his car will be 25 years old...which means he won't have to pass emissions. Hopefully everything goes well so he can bring it to Colt State Park with us on Sunday. If not, I think Jason (the owner) is just going to ride with me.
But there's nothing like playing cat and mouse...well, maybe cheetah and turtle with him on the highway on the way there and back.
