So I just got my car back from the body shop, and I have a new car cover for it because I want to protect all the new paint it has. Unfortunately, my body shop guy advised me not to use the cover for ~2 months for my paint to cure, but the problem is that the weather here is absolutely awful, and the hood how has water spots that are no doubt curing in with the clear coat, I can't get them out. I was wondering if anyone knew what would happen if I put the cover on... someone has also already put a goddamn ding in the door, so I just really don't want this thing exposed to the elements and PEOPLE.

It's a nice cover too, not a cheap-o. It's a Noah cover from BavAuto.

PS: I would call him, but they're closed on weekends and I'm impatient.

The cover can go on, but you need to polish the paint, i would use Meguiars Paint Cleaner at any local parts store (pepboys auto zone walmart) to get rid of the water marks. You can put anything on the paint that wont bond to it. like wax sealant. Last time i checked, a car cover doesnt bond to paint.

he wants the paint to cure, under the cover it may not get proper circulation.
