Sorry, I did do a search for a Spotters Thread. Can't find it. We have one on the BF Georiga Area.

Uh, not to be a jerk, but it is not your call to say whether to post these kinds of threads or not.

It is a local, BMW specific thread, ergo it is worthwhile.

Thanks.

Yeah, we really dont have a spotted car thread to speak of.

Madison guys are a pretty tight crowd - I'll just tow it to WI and edit the title. IDK if they post here or not, but you'll probably get more hits there.

BTW, what were you up in WI for? Would have been cool to have a meet, though IDK if I would have been able to make it.

I still fail to see how this thread is cause for so much concern. :confused:confused

Whether you do it or not is besides the point - the thread is relevant and it is not your call to tell someone not to make a thread. Esp since they are not local.

And as for seeing BMWs by Concours - :confused:confused Help me out here - Why wouldn't you see E36s and Ms around a BMW dealership? :confused:confused

There is a difference between seeing the car on the road than by a dealership.

I just don"t get it, I'm on BF Georgia area we have a thread when you see a car. Check it out. What it does is keep people talking when its slow, I guess you guys have differant ways here. We also have one on Clubbimmer.com where I'm a Moderator. I'm sorry for the thread it was dead, I just spotted a sweet looking car which is rare. I wanted to let the person know.

I know I'd probably become immune to seeing hot cars on the road if I saw them every day at work, but I also know if I were from out of town (as vertvert appears to be) and saw an excellent example of a favorite, I might try to reach the owner and pay him or her a compliment if I knew it had a pretty good chance of getting through.

Good use of the technology, vert! :alright

There is a fairly new Madison spotted thread, but oh well... I've never seen an E30 M3 on the street. Seen one in the shop and one on the track a few times. I guess that's where they belong. Neither of them were white.

We have a cruise in first of every month. There were 2 e30 M's and 1 2002.

Agreed, these are pointless, but so is a lot of stuff on the internet... if you don't care who saw who, don't click on it. Do you watch dude-on-dude videos and then complain that they are gross? No, I'm pretty sure you don't.

I also saw a white E30 M in downtown Milwaukee last week, for what it's worth.

I can create a Spotted thread. However, if you post in the thread, something like "I saw a BMW xxx" is a meaningless post.

Something constructive would be -

I was in Milwaukee, by the Pabst Theater, and I saw a white E30 M3 (parked/driving) by xxxx (location)

The car had (describe the car).

Do NOT post license #s. :nono

If there are a lot of fluff posts, I will delete the thread.
