At great risk of this being a worn out topic, I recently hired the local franchisee for this system (L.A.) to take care of the chips on the nose of my black '03 E46 M3. I had my doubts. There must have been over a hundred chips (some micro size) from the nose to the lower bumper. Quite frankly I am very favorably impressed with the results. He charged me $100.00. My only other option was to repaint the hood and bumper $750+). I ordered the do-it-yourself kit and will give it a try on another car. I'm convinced that the late model BMW paint (water based?) is much more vulnerable to rock chips compared to earlier models.
