Hi .... I've done an engine conversion on my 12/94 bmw 325i and installed an s50b30 motor with 50 ki original miles. I do not know if the motor was made 12/94 or after 1/95. The M3 ECu ends with 506.

So now the situation is that the car cranks and recieves fuel fro mhte fuel pump but doesnt have spark. I ordered an ews II delete chip from turner motor sport along with the Euro HFM and 24 lb injectors and I ordered it for my 325i compuet. 216 200 413 silver label. I was told that the cars with silver label come with ews but I found a link with all cars which came ews equipped. http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=217740 This one tells me that cars with uear 12/94 didn't have ews.

So did i order a wrong chip? My DME has 3 green wires and I've tried starting the car with every one unplugged in every combination and still won't start.....

Turner also asked me if my car was 12/94 or 1/95 .. I told them 1/95 when I wasn't really sure, my car is 12/94 but i'm certain since I have silver label 413 DME, I do have EWSII right????

If so how can I go about diabling it ? I've read that if you cut wires 1 and 3 off the ews module and solder them together, you disbale it.... is this true??

I don't want to proceed any further unless I am 100% sure what to do.. Car hasn't started for over a month now and Dealer doesn't want anything to do with it.

Look at the manufacturer tag on the B-pillar driver side ... it gives the month of manufacture of the car.

im no expert on bmw's just got my first one the other day but not sure if you checked it or not but since it turns over but dosnt start it could be as simple as ure coil is bad or the wires broke or might not even be securely attached? i just like to check the simple things fore i start buyin new expensive stuff.

when i did the obd1 conversion to my 98 m3 i got a 413 red label dme and had AA set me up a chip for the mods that went along with it.... i had to pull out the ews module and jump the 2 big wires in the connector to get the starter to crank
